Praise is an expression of Gratitude.
It lightens the way of Grace and Heaven’s fortune

We have a work to do, on many levels.  We need power to overcome inertia.
Recently, I heard a song that reminded me of one of the greatest sources of power available to us:  Praise.

Some context

Excepted from Luck vs Fortune

.
“Let us pursue then the way of fortune, we need not rely on mere luck:  Let us desire (and live for) the welfare of others. What are we, if not awakening Bodhisattvas, ourselves?  The venerated Shantideva, an 8th-century Buddhist scholar from northern India, wrote a fantastic guidance:  The Bodhicaryavatara (or, In Praise of the Awakening Mind). ”

Awaken and Foster Awakening
.
In Chapter One of The Bodhicaryavatara , one excerpt speaks so well of the way to build fortune, and exchange luck for fortune, instead:

.

[18] From the moment one takes on that Mind (of Original Heart and Zeal) to release the limitless realm of beings, with a resolve that cannot be turned back;

[19] From that moment on, though he may doze off or be distracted many times, uninterrupted streams of merit like the bursting sky continuously pour forth.

[21] Immeasurable merit took hold of the well-intentioned person who thought ‘Let me dispel the headaches of beings’.

[22] What then of the person who longs to remove the unequalled agony of every single being and make their virtue infinite?

.

When we have the fortune enough to understand that we (the willing) can be “the person who longs to remove the unequalled agony of every single being and make their virtue infinite”

Then can we appreciate anyone ahead of us, any beside us, or any behind us who has decided to proclaim Messiahship (Matthew 5:48) and take on that awakened consciousness.

We can be grateful for, and offer praise to, the source of theuninterrupted streams of merit like the bursting sky continuously pouring forth.” (See Romans 8:28)

We can be inspired to multiply this awareness and consciousness.

.

Be encouraged, and encourage others.

Psalms.28

[7] The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.

[3] Let the righteous be glad; let them rejoice before God: yea, let them exceedingly rejoice.
[4] Sing unto God, sing praises to his name: extol him that rideth upon the heavens by his name JAH, and rejoice before him.
[5] A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation.
[6] God setteth the solitary in families: he bringeth out those which are bound with chains: but the rebellious dwell in a dry land.

Psalms.34

[1] I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
[2] My soul shall make her boast in the LORD: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.
[3] O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together.
[4] I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.
[5] They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.
[6] This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.
[7] The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.
[8] O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.

Better is the sacrifice of Praise

Psalms.69

[30] I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving.
[31] This also shall please the LORD better than an ox or bullock that hath horns and hoofs.
[32] The humble shall see this, and be glad: and your heart shall live that seek God.
[33] For the LORD heareth the poor, and despiseth not his prisoners.
[34] Let the heaven and earth praise him, the seas, and everything that moveth therein.

Psalms.71

  1. [6] By thee have I been holden up from the womb: thou art he that took me out of my mother’s bowels: my praise shall be continually of thee.
  2. [8] Let my mouth be filled with thy praise and with thy honour all the day.
  3. [14] But I will hope continually, and will yet praise thee more and more.
  4. [22] I will also praise thee with the psaltery, even thy truth, O my God: unto thee will I sing with the harp, O thou Holy One of Israel.

Psalms.150

[1] Praise ye the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power.
[2] Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness.
[3] Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp.
[4] Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs.
[5] Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals.
[6] Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.

Hebrews.13

[12] Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate.
[13] Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach.
[14] For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come.
[15] By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.
[16] But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

1 Peter. 2

[9] But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
[10] Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
[11] Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
[12] Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.
